Disclaimers
General information only
Everything published on this site is general information about Factor Tax, LLC (“FactorTax”) and about federal tax and government contract cost matters. It is not professional advice, it is not directed to any particular company or situation, and it must not be relied on as a substitute for advice about your own facts. Tax and federal acquisition rules change, they change often, and material here may have been overtaken by later authority.
Reading this site, writing to us, or receiving a reply does not create a client relationship. A FactorTax engagement begins only when a written engagement letter is signed by both parties.
Not legal advice
FactorTax is a specialty tax firm. It is not a law firm, and it does not provide legal advice or legal opinions. Where a member of the firm holds a bar admission, that admission is a factual credential and is not the authority under which FactorTax services are delivered.
No warranty
This site and its contents are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. FactorTax makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of anything on this site, and disclaims all such warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FactorTax and its members, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your access to or use of this site or your reliance on anything published here, whether the claim is based in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise, and whether or not FactorTax was advised of the possibility of such damages.
Third-party links
This site may link to websites operated by others, including government sources and professional publications. Those sites are not under FactorTax’s control. We provide the links for convenience only. A link is not an endorsement of the site, its operator, or its content, and FactorTax accepts no responsibility for the accuracy, availability, security, or privacy practices of any linked site. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms.
Terms of Use
Acceptance
By accessing this site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may revise these terms at any time by posting a revised version, and the date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Continued use after a revision is acceptance of it.
Permitted use
You may view, download, and print material from this site for your own internal business or personal reference. You may not republish it, sell it, license it, use it commercially, present it as your own, or remove any notice of authorship or copyright from it. You may not use the site in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or security, or that attempts to gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
Intellectual property
The content, layout, text, graphics, and the FactorTax name and wordmark are owned by Factor Tax, LLC or used under license, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing on this site grants any license or right to use them except as expressly stated above.
Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect and the unenforceable provision is applied to the greatest extent permitted.
Privacy
What we collect
FactorTax collects personal information from this site in exactly one place: the contact form. If you submit it, we receive the information you type into these fields:
- Your name
- Your title
- Your company
- Your work email address
- Your company’s annual revenue band, if you choose to select one
- Your company’s approximate employee count, if you choose to select one
- What brings you to us, selected from a short list
- Anything else you write in the message box
Name, company, and work email are required in order to reply to you. The rest is optional. We do not ask for and do not want financial account information, taxpayer identification numbers, or any other sensitive personal information through this form. Please do not send it here.
How a submission reaches us
The site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider, and form submissions are processed by that provider before being delivered to the firm. The provider therefore processes your submission as part of transmitting it to us, under its own privacy practices. Once delivered, submissions are held by the firm and treated as confidential.
What we do with it
We use what you send to answer you, to work out which entry engagement fits, and to have the scoping conversation that follows. We do not sell personal information, we do not share or disclose it for advertising, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your consent. There are no user accounts on this site, and nothing here requires you to create one.
We may disclose information where we are required to by law or legal process, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. We retain submissions for as long as needed for the purpose they were sent and for our own record-keeping, and we apply reasonable safeguards to protect them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Tracking
This site takes a deliberately minimal approach. It does not run advertising trackers, it does not build behavioral profiles of visitors, and it does not use cookies to follow you across other websites. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server records, such as requests and approximate location, for security and reliability. If we later add analytics or any tracking technology that changes this position, we will update this page before doing so.
Your choices
You can decline to submit the form and reach us directly at info@factortax.com instead. You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will respond to reasonable requests. Write to the same address.
Children
This site is directed to businesses and business professionals. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
